Why are we called 10Pines?
The name was inspired by a song called Una casa con diez pinos (A House with Ten Pines), by Manal and popularized by Pappo. The lyrics speak of someone who leaves behind the hustle and materialism of city life to find peace in a house surrounded by nature. That house symbolizes our company, and the ten pines represent our distinct, people-first approach to work.
No bosses, no hierarchy, no tricks
10Pines was born from the desire to:
- Make decisions collectively
- Ensure fair and transparent salaries
- Value technical quality and team continuity
We've built a flat culture where everyone has a voice. We seek long-term relationships with clients and share our values. We build teams that think and grow sustainably.
“We wanted to create a place where technical quality wasn’t negotiable and salary wasn’t about who could negotiate best.” — Jorge Silva
Growing from within
Training and mentoring junior developers is a core part of our DNA. We invest in long-term talent and help each person grow into their full potential. This strengthens both our team and the tech industry as a whole.
“It’s more beneficial to train someone from the ground up than to hire senior developers who may not be aligned with our culture.” — Jorge Silva
The future is human (and also tech-powered)
We embrace AI not as a threat, but as a tool. Our challenge is to merge innovation with humanity. To evolve without losing what makes us who we are.
